Shimadzu LC-10A/LC-20A Prominence and LC-30A Nexera HPLC Systems: Installation

This topic provides information for installing the following Shimadzu systems:

Hardware Installation

LC-10A HPLC System

Device Connection:

Connect the HPLC System to the PC via the System Controller (SCL-10Avp), using a completely connected null modem cable (Dionex part no. 1310.2263; see  Null Modem Cable).

Use the fiber-optical cable that is supplied with the device to connect the device to the SCL-10Avp controller. (To connect a preparative LC-8A pump to the SCL-10Avp controller, use a fiber-optical cable and a PC-31L interface.)

Make sure that the input signals of the signal cable are not connected for the following modules:

  • Column oven (CTO-10A, CTO-10AC, CTO-10Avp, CTO-10ACvp, CTO-10ASvp)

  • UV-VIS detector (SPD-10A, SPD-10AV, SPD-10Avp, SPD-10AVvp)

  • Pump module (LC-10AD, LC-10-Ai, LC-10AT, LC-10ADvp, LC-10ATvp, or LC-8A)

 Note:

If you want the SCL-10Avp System Controller to send the start signal, use the signal cable that is shipped with the System Controller. Connect the orange and the brown wires of the signal cable to the INJ.IN port on the controller's rear panel.
