Make sure that the Installed check box is selected if a Shimadzu autosampler is configured with the system.

Device Name:

Indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (default: Sampler; also, refer to Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding control of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel  Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.)

Select this option if a standard sample loop is installed (100 µL; 50 µL for the SIL-10ADvp). This setting is the default.

Optional 2000 µL Loop
Optional 500 µL Loop

Select this option if a 2000 µL sample loop (or 500 µL sample loop for the SIL-10ADvp) is installed.

 Attention:

When changing the volume of the sample loop in Chromeleon, make sure to also adjust the value on the front panel of the instrument.

It is vital that the same value is used both on the instrument and in Chromeleon when configuring the loop volume for the first time or editing an existing configuration.

No Prep Loop
(only SIL-10ADvp)

Make sure that this option is selected if you have no sample preparation loop installed. This setting is the default. If this option is selected, no sample preparation options are provided.

Prep Loop
(only SIL-10ADvp)

Select this option if you have a sample preparation loop installed.

Cooling Option

Select this option if you are using an autosampler that allows sample cooling. (Note: this option is not supported for the SIL-10AXL.)

Loop Injection Kit

(only SIL-30AC)

Select this check box, if the autosampler is equipped with an optional loop injection kit.

Ext. Rinse pump

(only SIL-20A, SIL-20AC, SIL-20AXR, SIL-20ACXR)

Select this check box, if the autosampler is equipped with an optional pump for rinsing the needle and flow lines.

500 µL Syringe

2500 µL Syringe

5000 µL Syringe

(only SIL-10A/AF/Ai)

Select the installed syringe type.

The following requirements must be met in order to use the 5000 µL syringe type:

• firmware version 4.10 or later

• CPU board version 3.51
