Connecting Devices to the Chromeleon Server
Troubleshooting for USB or TCP/IP Connections
The following table lists the most important error messages that may appear in the Audit Trail if the connection between Chromeleon and the device is not successful. In addition, possible causes and the corresponding remedial actions are suggested. In this case, the messages refer to the P680 pump.
Tips:
Please keep in mind that, for up to 30 seconds after the server configuration is changed, messages referring to the previous configuration may be displayed. These messages can be ignored. Thus, always note the device name referred to in the message; for example, P680@...
The error messages below may also read either P680@ + serial number (= P680@USB-01610103), or P680@ + IP address (= P680@192.168.50.1), depending on the connection type (USB or TCP/IP) specified for the instrument in the Server Configuration program. (For examples for the USB connection, refer to the second table below.)

Check the USB and LAN connection, respectively. Check the mains connection of the pump. Remove the pump specified in the message from the server configuration or else select a different pump from the list of available pumps in the server configuration (via Properties/ Browse). |
The following error messages refer to the USB connection of a P680 pump. Similar messages may also appear for the following devices: UVD 170U, UVD 340U, LPG-3x00, FLM-3x00, and TCC-100:
