Commands and Tips for Third-Party Devices
Shimadzu LC-10A HPLC System: Sample Preparation - Injection Modes "Dilution" and "Reagent"

This topic describes the Dilution and Reagent injection modes used for sample preparation ('pretreatment') with a Shimadzu LC-10A HPLC System. In Chromeleon, the pretreatment option is supported for the following Shimadzu autosamplers: SIL-10A, SIL-10Ai, SIL-10AF, SIL-10AXL and SIL-10ADvp.

Tip:

To perform sample preparation when the autosampler is part of the LC-10A HPLC System, you have to select the injection mode first.

For detailed information about the properties that are available for the Advanced pretreatment mode, refer to:

Shimadzu LC-10A HPLC System: Sample Preparation – Advanced Injection Mode.

 Note:

The names of the Shimadzu commands and properties may be slightly different, depending on version of your autosampler.

 Tips (SIL-10ADvp autosamplers only):

  • For titer plates only Standard mode is available.

  • You can set the injection mode only if you have selected the Prep Loop option on the Sampler tab page in the Server Configuration program.

Tip:

It was observed that the PretDilute command delivers too much solvent to the target vial when used in the Dilution or Advanced injection mode. For a workaround to avoid this error, refer to:
