Thermo Accela Pump Configuration

Specify the general device or hardware parameters, such as device name, Virtual Mode and module ID.

Note:

Support of the Accela 600 and 1250 Pumps and Accela system synchronization is available starting with the SR11 Driver Update that provides extended Accela system support. If this Driver Update is not installed, some options may not be available.

Device Name

Indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (default: Pump; also, see Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding controls of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel  Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.)

Communication

From the Module ID list select the number that uniquely identifies the pump.

Note:

If only one instrument is found, the instrument's module ID is selected.

 

 

Virtual Mode

Select this check box to enable virtual mode. In virtual mode, Chromeleon simulates the Accela 1250 Pump.

 

 

Injection Logic

Select an autosampler from the list:

Accela AS: Select if an Accela Autosampler is installed in the system and hardware synchronization is realized using a Thermo Scientific System Interconnect cable.

Accela Open AS: Select if an Accela Open Autosampler is installed in the system and hardware synchronization is realized using a Thermo Scientific Accela Open AS Interconnect cable.

Other sampler: Select if a non-Accela sampler is installed, or if an Accela Autosampler is installed, but the inject response signal is synchronized using the Dionex synchronization cable.

 

 

Start in High Pressure mode

(Accela Pump only) Select this check box to specify the default setting for the PressureMode property.

 

 

Limits...

Click this button to open the Limits configuration dialog where you can define the flow and pressure limits and units.

 

 

Leak Sensor

(Accela 600 and Accela 1250 Pumps only) Select this check box if a leak sensor is installed in the pump.

 

 

Purge Pump

(Accela 600 and Accela 1250 Pumps only) Select this check box if a purge pump is installed in the pump.

 

 

Solvents...

Click this button to open the Solvents configuration dialog where you can define the solvent names.
