Commands and Tips for Third-Party Devices
Perkin Elmer Series 200 Diode Array Detector
Chromeleon provides the commands and parameters from the table below (please note that the display Filter level determines which commands and properties are displayed) to control the Series 200 Diode Array Detector. Also, refer to the information in the detector's Operating Instructions.
General Commands and Properties
Command/Property |
Description |
Connect |
Connects the device to Chromeleon |
Connected |
Indicates whether the instrument is connected to Chromeleon, that is, under computer control (also, see Connect, Disconnect) |
Disconnect |
Disconnects the instrument from Chromeleon and activates manual control from the instrument panel. |
DriverID |
Unambiguous driver name (read-only). |
DriverVersion |
Driver version (read-only). |
Firmware |
Firmware version (read-only). |
Manufacturer |
Manufacturer of the driver (read-only). |
Status |
Indicates the status of the DAD (read-only). |
Channel Commands and Properties:
Command/Property |
Description |
Start/stop data acquisition. |
|
Sets the signal output to 0. |
Special Commands:
Command/Property |
Description |
AcquisitionState |
Monitors data acquisition (read-only). Values: Idle (no data acquisition), Started (data acquisition was started but no data received), Running (data acquisition is running), Finishing (data acquisition was stopped, the last data points from the instruments are being received). |
Sets the signal bandwidth. Range: 1 - 250 nm. |
|
Reports the signal's slope in [mAU/s], i.e., the difference between the value and the value 1 second ago. |
|
Data_Collection_Rate |
Sets the data collection rate in [Hz]. Range: 0.1 - 100.0 Hz. Notes: The value for the data collection rate must be set to meet the following condition: 1 : Data Collection Rate is a number with no more than 2 positions after the decimal point (e.g., 1:25 Hz = 0.04 sec). Otherwise, a warning appears in the dialog box of the semantics and ready check as well as in the Audit Trail saying that the value is outside the valid range. The data collection rate cannot be changed when data acquisition is running. Therefore, do not place the command between an AcqOn and an AcqOff command in the program. |
Sets the reference wavelength. Range: 195 - 695 nm (0 = Off). The reference wavelength is used to correct the absorbance values of the selected wavelength. |
|
Sets the retention time. |
|
Signal |
Sets the signal value in [mAU]. |
Sets the signal wavelength (also see Bandwidth). Range: 195 - 695 nm. |
