Diagnostic Tests for UltiMate 3000 Instruments

The table below lists the UltiMate 3000 instruments and the various diagnostics tests that are available for an instrument. Some tests, however, may not be available for or applicable to specific instrument types of the UltiMate 3000 series. For information about the tests that are provided for an instrument type, refer to the Chromeleon Client program: click the Control menu and then select Diagnostics to display a list of all diagnostics tests that are available for the UltiMate 3000 instrument(s) installed in a timebase.

	Outlet Frit Test Mixer Frit Test	permeability of the outlet/mixer frits.
	Degasser Vacuum Test	degasser vacuum.
NCP-3200RS/NCS-3500RS
NC pump	Pressure Transducer Test	offset of the pressure transducers.
	Detailed Leak Test	the NC pump for leakage.
	Viscosity Measurement	Use this test to determine the viscosity of a solvent that you want to use with the NC pump but for which the viscosity is not yet available in Chromeleon. The test also checks whether the pump works correctly and delivers the exact flow rate. Also refer to: Editing the Viscosity List
	Zero Balance Test	(ProFlow flowmeter only) Use this test to set the flow sensor and pressure transducer to zero.
	Solvent Calibration	(ProFlow flowmeter only) Use this test to calibrate solvents to be used with a ProFlow flowmeter.

Detector VWD-3x00	Calibration Test	UV lamp wavelength calibration.
	Dark Current Test	noise and dark current signal.
	Filter Motor Test	correct functioning of the filter motor.
	Grating Motor Test	correct functioning of the grating motor.
	Holmium Oxide Test	wavelength accuracy.
	Intensity Test	lamp intensity.
	Second Order Filter Test	correct functioning of the filter for suppressing high-order light proportion.

DAD-3x00/MWD-3x00	Holmium Oxide Test	wavelength accuracy.
	Intensity Test	lamp intensity (with or w/o flow cell) and flow cell contamination (with flow cell).
	Dark Current Test	dark current signal (with or w/o flow cell).
(RS versions only)	Slit Test	slit mechanism.

Autosampler WPS-3000SL/RS/TXRS	Drives and SensorTest	the autosampler motors, sensors and injection valve.
Autosampler WPS-3000SL/RS/TXRS	Leak Test	autosampler or HPLC system for leakage.

Column Compartment TCC-3x00	Gas Sensor Test	gas sensor in the column compartment.
Column Compartment TCC-3x00	Thermo Unit Test	thermal output of the thermo unit, fans and thermal connections. Note: This test is not available for TCC-3000RS/SD column compartments.

Flow Manager FLM-3x00	Flow Control Test	components of the flow control system (pressure sensor, flow control valve, flow sensor, flow splitter).
Flow Manager FLM-3x00	Gas Sensor Test	gas sensor in the column compartment.
	Thermo Unit Test	thermal output of the thermo unit, fans and thermal connections.

*To run diagnostic tests for the UltiMate 3000 pumps, verify that the appropriate firmware version is installed.
