Adjust Zero Balance (NCP-3200RS/NCS-3500RS – NC Pump)

The following information applies to NC pumps equipped with a ProFlow flowmeter.

To ensure an accurate flow rate and solvent composition of the NC pump, the zero balance of the thermal flow sensors and pressure transducers of the ProFlow flowmeter must be calibrated from time to time. Run the Zero Balance procedure to set the flow sensor and pressure transducer to zero.

 Note:

After exchange of the flowmeter adjust the Zero Balance first, then calibrate the working pressure transducer. Otherwise, it is not possible to start the flow.

How to

  1. On the introductory page of the test wizard, click Next to proceed with the pump preparation that is required for the test.

     Tip:

If the Next button is not active on the page, the pump is not connected in Chromeleon or is in Standby mode. Connect the pump to Chromeleon by selecting the Connected check box before you continue. If the pump is in Standby mode, clear the Standby check box.

  2. Prepare the pump. (Grayed test steps can be ignored.) Click Next and follow the instructions of the wizard. All further information needed is then provided on the respective wizard pages. After each finished user interaction, click the button to proceed to the next step of the procedure.
