General
Specify the general device or hardware parameters, such as device name, Demo Mode and interface address.

Device Name |
Indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (default: Sampler; also, see Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding controls of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.) |

Demo Mode |
Select the check box to activate Demo Mode. |

Serial COM Port |
Select the proper COM port to which the sampler is connected. |

|
Virtual (Secondary) Device |
Select this check box to configure the sampler as virtual secondary device. This allows operation of the sampler with a second gas chromatograph. For configuration details refer to: Hardware Installation Thermo Scientific TriPlus Sampler: Dual Operation. Note: The Virtual (Secondary) Device function is not available for HS sampler versions. Refer to the Thermo Scientific TriPlus Operating Manual for detailed information. |

Sampler Type |
Specify the required sampler type. Select GCLiquids, when you are using a TriPlus AS, or select Headspace when using a HS version of the TriPlus sampler. |

Wash Station Type |
Select the wash station type installed on your system: None (no wash station installed), TwoSolvents (provides 2 x 100 ml reservoir), FourSolvents (provides 4 x 10 ml reservoir), or FastWash (provides 2 x 500 ml bottle). |
