The following options are supported:

  • TriPlus AS and HS versions

  • Fast, 2-,  and 4-solvent wash station

  • Temperature controlled trays

  • Dual operation - operation of the autosampler with two GCs (available only for TriPlus AS versions)

 Note:  

The  autosampler was tested with firmware version 1.14, Hardware version 0.04.

Restrictions:

 

The following options are not supported:

  • HPLC and SPME

  • Barcode reader

  • Double Pro injection modes

  • Device calibration

 

What is required?

License:

Timebase Class 1

Connection:

A free RS232 port (on PC or Muti COM card) OR two free RS-232 ports to operate the autosampler with a second GC (TriPlus AS version only) and the following items are required:

  • 9-9pin cable provided by Thermo Scientific to connect the autosampler to the PC

  • Alternatively, you may use a RS232 cable (Dionex part no. 8914.0148) for connection to the PC.

  • If the PC has a 25-pin COM port, an adapter cable is required for each port used (Dionex part no. 8914.0149).

Control Panel:

To control the instrument, use the Thermo_TriPlus_AS.pan and Thermo_TriPlus_HS.pan from the
Dionex Templates\Panels\LC_Other
folder in the Browser.

 

Hardware Installation

Device Connection:

First, install Chromeleon software, and then connect the instrument to the RS232 port on the Chromeleon server PC.

Device Settings:

Prior to installing the autosampler in Chromeleon make sure that the signal cables between sampler and GC are connected correctly. For detailed information on device connection, please refer to the TriPlus Operating Manual.

Restrictions:

  • UCI50 and UCI100 COM ports cannot be used to connect the driver with the TriPlus autosampler.

  • no Ethernet support

 

Software Installation

For details about how to add timebases and device drivers to the Server Configuration, refer to Adding, Configuring or Deleting Devices. When you add a driver to the timebase, the configuration dialog or wizard opens automatically. For information about the settings, click the Help button on a page or press F1.
