Option

Description

Device Name

Indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (also, see Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding controls of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel  Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.)

LAN

Communication

From the Module ID list, select the number (1...99) that uniquely identifies the autosampler. The Module ID number is part of the network IP address and must match the rotary switch settings at the rear panel of the instrument.

Notes:

  • The full IP address is in the following format: 172.16.x.111, whereby 'x' corresponds to the module ID which is set using the two rotary switches at the rear panel of the device.

  • After changing the rotary switch settings, the autosampler must be powered OFF and ON again to allow the changes to take effect.

Inject Sync

Select a COM port to retrieve the injection signal directly from the sampler via serial communication.

Tip:

A special synchronization cable (Dionex part no.: 8914.0163) is required to establish connection between the autosampler and the COM port of the Chromeleon server PC. For details also see Installation.

Virtual Mode

Select this check box to enable Virtual Mode.
