Description |

Device Name |
Indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (also, see Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding controls of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.) |
Ethernet Communication |
Indicates the default IP address of the detector. To change the address enter the required address into the IP edit field. Valid IP addresses are in the following format: Accela PDA/Surveyor Plus PDA: 172.16.xx.162 whereby 'x' corresponds to the module ID which is set using the two rotary switches at the rear panel of the device. |

Maximum Data Collection Rate |
Note: Support of the Accela 80 Hz PDA Detector is available starting with the SR11 Driver Update that provides extended Accela system support. Click the data collection rate that is used to scan the diode array. The 40 Hz and 80 Hz options are supported by the 80 Hz detector only (minimum firmware version 3.00). 40 Hz is appropriate for most fast chromatography methods. Whenever you change this setting, you may have to adjust the light throughput on the detector. Tip: If unsure, check the type label at the rear of the detector. If the detector supports 20, 40, and 80 Hz, the model type is "Accela PDA 80 Hz detector". The classic Accela PDA supports only the 20 Hz option. |

Start with hardware signal |
Select this check box if you want to synchronize the PDA signal acquisition with the injection using the Thermo Scientific System Interconnect cable or Accela Open AS Interconnect cable (not available in Demo mode). If the check box is cleared, PDA run is started upon first AcqOn encountered during PGM execution. |
Demo Mode |
Select Off to disable the demo mode. Select Read to read and display data from an existing demo file instead of real data. Select the demo file from the Demo File Name drop-down list. Select Write to save the data currently delivered by the detector in a demo file. Enter the (directory and) file name in the Demo File Name box. When data is recorded, the file content is overwritten with the latest acquisition data. |
