Dialog Box:
Open/Save as/Choose Folder/Browse
Use this dialog box to open and save files and to select a folder:
Select a datasource (Look in/Save in) and open a directory by clicking one of the listed folders. Datasources and directories with a red lock are locked and cannot be opened.
Enter the name of the file that you want to open or save in the Name field. If you want to restore date, select the folder in which you want to save the data in the Folder field.
Click Open to open the selected file. Click Save to save the file, respectively.

Displays the name of the currently selected Datasource. |

Name/Folder:

Enter the name of the document you want to open or select one from the list. Only files for which the file type has been specified in the Object of Type field are displayed. |

Channel: |
Select the channel to open. This is possible only if the file format is appropriate; for example, if a single sample is used for which several Channels were recorded. |

Object of Type:
|
Select the file type to be displayed in the Name field or in the list. It depends on the location from which the dialog box is opened which file types can be selected. For example: |
Sequence: |
Lists the names of all Sequence. |
|

Sample: |
Lists the names of all samples. |
|
|
Program: |
Lists the names of all PGM Files. |
|
|
Method: |
Lists the names of all Quantification Methods. |
|
|
Report Definition: |
Lists the names of all Report Definitions. |
|
|
Spectra Library: |
Lists the names of all Spectra Libraries. |
|
|
Audit Trail |
Lists the names of all Audit Trails (also, see Data Management Audit Trails). |

Control Panel: |
Lists the names of all Control Panels. |
|
|
Workspace: |
Lists the names of all Workspaces stored. |

MS Instrument Method: |
Lists the names of all Mass Spectrometer methods. Use Xcalibur to open these methods. |

Lists the names of all Queries stored. |

Signed Results: |
Lists the names of all sequences (see Electronic Signature) that have been stored and signed. |

Save raw data: (For saving sequences only.) |
Select this check box if you want to copy the raw data together with the sample. A dialog box appears, indicating the progress and allowing you to stop copying. |
