Tab Dialog Box:
Components (1100/1200 HPLC System)
Specify which components of the 1100 or 1200 HPLC System are installed by selecting the corresponding check box. Only selected components can be controlled. Under Installed Components, you may explicitly set the device names under which the device is identified in Chromeleon.

GPIB/LAN: |
Determine whether the instrument will be controlled via a GPIB or a LAN connection. GPIB control (1100 HPLC-System only): Click the arrow next to the input field and select a GPIB address from the list box. Verify that the installed instruments are turned on. LAN control: Enter the IP address of the 1100 or 1200 HPLC System into the input field. You may also enter the host name for the system, if host names have been defined (see %windir%/system32/drivers/etc/hosts). The Scan CAN button will be enabled. |

Scan CAN: |
Click this button to start recognition of the installed modules. The model and serial number of the device are automatically indicated to the right of the check box. |
Installed Components
Use the check boxes to specify the installed components:
Pump |
The input field under the Pump check box indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (default: Pump; also, refer to Naming Devices...). To control the pump via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding control of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.) Specify the options for the pump on the Options tab page. |

Injector |
The input field under the Injector check box indicates the instrument's name in the installation environment (default: Sampler). Specify the options for the injector on the Rack and Syringe tab page. |

Thermostat |
Sample thermostat (no name is required in Chromeleon). |

|
Column Compartment |
Column compartment with column thermostat. The input field under the Column Compartment check box indicates the instrument's name in the installation environment (default: ColumnComp). Specify the options for the column compartment on the Options tab page. |

UV Detector |
The input field under the UV Detector check box indicates the instrument's name in the installation environment (default: UV). If the detector is a VWD, specify the lamp on the Options tab page. |

FL Detector |
The input field under the FL Detector check box indicates the name under which the Fluorescence Detector is identified in the installation environment (default: Fluorescence). |

RI Detector |
The input field under the RI Detector check box indicates the name under which the refractive index detector is identified in the installation environment (default: RI). |

|
Fraction Collector |
The input field under the Fraction Collector check box indicates the name under which the fraction collector is identified in the installation environment (default: FC). Specify the options for the fraction collector on the Options tab page. |

Thermostat |
Fraction tray thermostat (no name is required in Chromeleon). |
