Description |
Device Name: |
Indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (also, see Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name (TC for the ICS-3000 TC or ICS-5000 TC; ColumnOven for the UltiMate 3000 TCC or FLM). If you do not accept the default name, you have to edit the PGM File(s) and re-link the corresponding controls of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.) |
Module Address: |
Select the address of the TC, TCC, or FLM that you want to use. Click Browse to open the Device List Dialog Box, showing information about all column ovens or flow managers that are connected via a LAN or USB connection. Select the address from the Device List. |
Firmware Download: |
Click to download the current firmware version from Chromeleon to the instrument. This will open a dialog box that shows the currently installed firmware version and the firmware version available in Chromeleon. Click OK to start the download. The download may take several minutes; during this time, Chromeleon cannot control the instrument. To resume control after the download, reconnect the column oven or flow manager to Chromeleon. Tip: To ensure that the firmware is downloaded correctly, do not perform any other actions while the download is running. Caution: Do not downgrade the firmware. Downgrading the firmware to a previous version may result in loss of functionality or malfunctioning of the device. |
Demo Mode: |
Select this option to simulate the functions of a TC, TCC, or FLM. |

Retrieve configuration from module |
(For the TC and TCC, the button is available only after installation is complete. For the FLM, the button is not available.) Click this button to transfer the current configuration (e.g., number and type of valves) from the column oven or flow manager to Chromeleon. The configuration will be initialized according to the current instrument settings. Note: The wizard retrieves this information automatically from the instrument. Retrieving the configuration manually is necessary only if you connect a different column oven or flow manager or if automatic matching was not performed correctly when the wizard was started. |
Send configuration to module |
(For the TC and TCC, the button is available only after installation is complete. For the FLM, the button is not available.) Select this button to transfer the current settings on the Components tab page from Chromeleon to the TC or TCC. |
