Setting up a Datasource
Saving Chromatography Data on the Network

To save data directly on the network, a network datasource must be available (see  Creating a Network Datasource). To save the data recorded on your Server PC directly on the network datasource, follow the steps below:

  1.  Connect a Datasource

  2.  Set up the Chromeleon Server for Network Access

 Tip:

Perform these steps on all PCs whose data servers shall have access to the network datasource.

If you want to save the Standard Datasource data (e.g., daily audit trails, manual sequences etc.) on the network, you can also define a network datasource as standard datasource in a third step. (For more information, refer to  Defining a Network Datasource as Standard Datasource.)

 Caution:

If you define a network datasource as standard datasource, the typical timebase-specific data of a standard datasource (e.g., daily audit trail, manual sequences) will not be protected by Network Failure Protection.
