Shimadzu LC-10A and LC-2010 HPLC Systems: Column Oven

In addition to the standard oven commands (see Commands for Controlling Dionex Devices Dionex Flow Manager and Thermostatted Column Compartments), the commands and properties from the table below are available (please note that the display Filter level determines which commands and properties are displayed):

The names of the Shimadzu commands and properties may be slightly different, depending on the version of your column oven.

TempCtrl	OVEN OVEN.T	On/Off	Enables or disables temperature control. Turning off temperature control is not allowed in sample programs.
Temperature.Nominal	OVEN.T	CTO-10A: 4-80°C LC-2010: 4-60°C	Temperature setpoint for the column oven
Temperature.Upper Limit	T.MAX	CTO-10A: 5-85°C LC-2010: 5-65°C	Sets the upper temperature limit. Chromeleon aborts the sample batch and starts emergency handling if the current value exceeds the temperature limit.
Temperature.Value	TEMPm	CTO-10A: 4-85°C LC-2010: 4-65°C	Current temperature of the column oven

Tips:

You cannot set Temperature.Nominal and TempCtrl for retention times <0.000 min.
Each program may include only one Temperature.UpperLimit setting. In addition, the setting must be entered at the time t = 0.000 min. Otherwise, an error message appears during the Ready Check.
Setting Temperature.Nominal automatically sets TempCtrl to On. If TempCtrl was set to Off before, Log.TempCtrl=On appears in the Audit Trail.
Upon each Connect command, the value for Temperature.Nominal is automatically set to 40 °C, regardless of whether a user-defined value has been set.
