Hardware Installation
Software Installation
Install the Device Driver in the Chromeleon Server Configuration. (For more information about the program, refer to Software Installation and Communication The Server Configuration Program.)
Start the Chromeleon server.
Start the Server Configuration program.
Add the Jasco detector to the selected timebase. Select Add Device on the Edit or context menu, and then select Jasco from the Manufacturers list box and one of the following entries from the Devices list box: Jasco970_UV_VIS_Detector, Jasco975/1575_UV_VIS_Detector, Jasco920_Fluorescence_Detector, or Jasco1520_Fluorescence_Detector.
The following settings are required:
On the Jasco970_UV_VIS_Detector tab page (or on the Jasco975/1575_UV_VIS_Detector, Jasco920_Fluorescence_Detector, and Jasco1520_Fluorescence_Detector tab pages respectively), disable the Demo Mode.
On the UV_VIS_1 (or Fluorescence) tab page, accept the name, for example, UV_VIS_1. In addition, select the COM port to which the detector is connected as well as the channel to be used for data acquisition.
The Error Levels tab page classifies the severity of any errors that occur. It is generally not necessary to change the default settings.
To control the Jasco detectors, connect the Jasco970.pan (UV detector) or Jasco920.pan (fluorescence detector) Control Panel in the Chromeleon client to the corresponding timebase.
