The A200S GC Autosampler is identical with the Fisons AS200 Autosampler.

 

What is required?

License:

Connection:

RS modem cable (see  Modem Cable (1:1 Cable) in the Appendix of the Hardware Installation section). The autosampler requires a 25-pin male connector on its side.

A free RS-232 port.

Hardware Installation

Device Connection:

Connect the A200S GC Autosampler using an RS modem cable (see  Modem Cable (1:1 Cable) in the Appendix of the Hardware Installation section). The autosampler requires a 25-pin male connector on its side.

Device Settings:

To control these two instruments, set the Start Signal Source parameter to Remote on the instrument:

  • When turning on the instrument, hold the MET key down until SET PARAMETERS appears on the display.

  • Press INJ. INJECTION SIDE appears on the display.

  • Repeatedly press the right arrow key (3-4 times) until START SIG SOURCE is displayed.

  • Press INJ. Either GC READY or REMOTE will be displayed.

  • If GC READY is displayed, use the up/down arrow key to change the setting to REMOTE.

 

Software Installation

Install the Device Driver in the Chromeleon Server Configuration. (For more information about the program, refer to Software Installation and Communication  The Server Configuration Program.)

  1. Start the Chromeleon server.

  2. Start the Server Configuration program.

  3. Add the autosampler to the timebase. Select Add Device on the Edit or context menu, and then select CTC from the Manufacturers list box and CTC_A200S_Sampler from the Devices list box.

  4. The following settings are required:

On the CTC_A200S_Sampler tab page, verify that the Demo Mode is disabled.

On the Sampler tab page, select a free COM port.

The Error Levels tab page classifies the severity of any errors that occur. It is generally not necessary to change the default settings.

To control the A200S GC autosampler connect the CTCA200S.pan Control Panel in the Chromeleon client to the corresponding timebase.
