Software Installation
Install the Device Driver in the Chromeleon Server Configuration. (For more information about the program, refer to Software Installation and Communication The Server Configuration Program.)
Start the Chromeleon server.
Start the Chromeleon Server Configuration program.
Add the column oven to the timebase. Select Add Device on the Edit or context menu, and then select Dionex from the Manufacturers list box and STH Column Oven from the Devices list box.
The following settings are required:
On the General tab page, select a free COM port. Verify that the Demo Mode is disabled.
The Error Levels tab page classifies the severity of any errors that occur. It is generally not necessary to change the default settings.
To control the STH585 Column Oven, connect the HPLC_Graphics.pan Control Panel in the Chromeleon client to the corresponding timebase.

Tip:
Before turning off the column oven or the computer, disconnect the oven using the Disconnect command in Chromeleon. If the column oven was turned off by mistake without being disconnected before the shutdown, wait for 40 seconds and reconnect the instrument using the Connect command. If the computer was turned off while the column oven was still connected, turn the oven off and on before restarting Chromeleon.
