Dialog Box:
Signals (Thermo Scientific Accela/Surveyor Plus Autosampler)

Use this dialog box to specify the input and output signal polarity settings for the terminals on the rear panel of the autosampler. The settings affect the cooperation between the autosampler and pump. Clear the Use Current Settings check box to make the other settings available.

Tip:

When configuring signal polarity of individual terminals to HIGH (Open), make sure that the respective device signals match the signal polarity settings.

Option

Description

Use Current Instrument Settings

Select to apply the previously configured signal settings. If this check box is selected, all other check boxes are unavailable.

Pump Ready Input Active High

Select to set the signal polarity of the Pump Ready input terminal to HI (Open). The Pump Ready terminal receives a signal when the pump is Ready.

This check box must be selected to use hardware synchronization between Accela modules using a Thermo Scientific Interconnect cable.

Inject Hold Release Input Active High

Select to set the signal polarity of the Hold Release input terminal to HI (Open). The Inject Hold terminal receives a signal when an attached peripheral device is Ready.

This check box must be selected to use hardware synchronization between Accela modules using a Thermo Scientific Interconnect cable.

AS Ready Output Active High

Select to set the signal polarity of the Autosampler Ready output terminal to HI (Open). The AS Ready terminal sends a signal indicating that the autosampler is in the Ready state, i.e. that the selected Ready conditions are met (e.g. sample tray/column oven temperature reached, door is closed, vial bottom sensing).

Inject Output Active High

Sets the signal polarity of the Inject Out output terminal to HI (Open). The Inject Out terminal sends a signal to the system modules or peripheral devices indicating that the autosampler injected a sample.

This check box is automatically selected when using inject response signal synchronization between the autosampler and Chromeleon using a Dionex synchronization cable, that is, when COMx was selected on the General tab page.

Gradient Start Output Active High

Select to set the signal polarity of the Gradient Start output terminal to HI (Open). The Gradient Start terminal sends a signal to the pump to start the gradient program.

Pump Stop Output Active High

Select to set the signal polarity of the Pump Stop output terminal to HI (Open). The Pump Stop terminal sends a signal to stop the pump.

Time Functions Output Active High

Select to set the signal polarity of the Timed Event output terminals to HI (Open).

Note:

Chromeleon does not support Timed events.
