Dialog Box:
Configuration (Thermo Scientific Accela/Surveyor Plus Autosamplers)

Use this dialog box to configure injection parameters and tray and column oven temperature parameters for the Autosampler.

Option

Description

Sense Bottom

Make vial bottom sensing available or unavailable during sample injection.

ON: Vial bottom sensing is performed for every sample injection.

OFF: No vial bottom sensing is performed.

AUTO: Vial bottom sensing can be turned ON or OFF via AutoBottomFinder in the Chromeleon client program.

NOTE:

If AUTO is selected here, Auto Bottom Finder on the Temperature Options page of the Program Wizard must be set to ON. Only then will vial or well bottom sensing be performed.

Syringe Type

Select the installed syringe type: standard (2500 µl) or concentric (100 µl, 250 µl (Accela autosampler only), or 500 µl).

Tray Type

Select the tray type to be used. For micro well plates, check whether you are using a short or tall microwell carrier. A riser plate usually supports the short microwell carrier.

For standard vial trays for 40 x 1.8 mL vials, select Vial Tray.

For custom vial trays, select Custom Vial.

For 1 and 2 mL deep well plates on short microwell carrier, select 96 Short Titer Plate.

For 96 micro titer plates on tall microwell carrier, select 96 Tall Titer Plate.

For 96 micro titer plates on short microwell carrier (no riser plate), select 96 Short Titer Plate.

For 96 micro titer plates on short microwell carrier and riser plate, select 96 Short Titer Plate/Riser.

For 96 PRC plates on short microwell carrier, select 96 Short Titer Plate.

For custom 96 micro titer plates, select Custom 96 Titer Plate.

For 384 micro titer plates on short microwell carrier and riser plate, select 384 Short Titer Plate/Riser.

For 384 micro titer plates on tall microwell carrier, select 384 Tall Titer Plate.

For custom 384 micro titer plates, select Custom 384 Titer Plate.

Notes:

The combination of a short microwell carrier with a riser plate is equivalent to the tall microwell carrier.

For information about the allowed micro titer plates and vials, refer to the autosampler manual.

If you have selected custom vials or micro titer plates, you have to calibrate the bottom distance in Chromeleon.

Dead Volume (µl)

The dead volume is the internal volume of the transfer tubing, which connects the injection port of the autosampler with the injection valve. Enter the value specified on the label of the tubing.

Loop Volume (µl)

Enter the volume of the sample loop installed on your autosampler. Allowable values depend on the installed syringe size.

Wait For Temperature Ready

Select to make the Wait For Temperature Ready control available. The autosampler waits until the column oven and/or sample tray have reached the setpoint temperatures before starting a run.

In addition, you have to set Column Oven Temp Control and/or Sample Tray Temp Control to ON in the Program Wizard.

NOTE:

If the check box is cleared or if neither Column Oven Temp Control nor Sample Tray Temp Control is ON,  the run starts immediately after the Ready signal from the autosampler.

Verify Door is Closed

When this check box is selected, the autosampler will start a run or execute a command only when the tray door is closed. The XYZ arm automatically moves to the rear of the autosampler if the door opens. The DoorOpen property in the Chromeleon client program indicates the door status (Open or Closed).
