Description

Device Name

Indicates the name by which the device is identified in the installation environment (also, see Naming Devices...). The default name is TriPlus300HS. To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you have to edit the PGM File(s) and re-link the corresponding controls of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel  Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.)

Simulation mode

Select this check box to enable demo mode.

IP Address (LAN)

Enter the IP address to allow LAN control of the sampler through Chromeleon. The TriPlus 300 HS is shipped with a default IP address, which may not match the needs of the LAN where the sampler is to be installed. To change the default values, contact your LAN administrator and ask for the IP address, the subnet mask, and the port  to be assigned.

  • The IP address is made up of four integers written in the format xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, for example, 192.168.127.10.

  • The netmask is made up of four integers written in the format xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, for example, 255.255.255.0.

Retrieve Configuration

Click the Retrieve Configuration button to retrieve the serial number, the firmware version and the configuration parameters from the sampler.

Note:

If the firmware version installed in the autosampler is different from that stored in its configuration in Chromeleon, for example, after a firmware upgrade on the device or a replacement with a newer model, the configuration is mismatched. When connecting a driver to a device that is running a firmware version different from that stored in the driver's configuration, the connection is aborted due to a firmware version mismatch. Click the Retrieve Configuration button to retrieve the latest firmware version and then OK to store it.
When configuring an existing TriPlus 300 HS into a Chromeleon instrument, if the installed firmware version is below the minimum version supported by Chromeleon, Chromeleon will not be able to connect to the autosampler and an error is logged to the audit trail. Thermo Fisher Scientific recommends to upgrade to the latest firmware version. In this case, contact your Thermo Scientific Service Representative.

For more information, see Thermo Scientific TriPlus 300 HS Sampler: Installation.

Caution:

Do not downgrade the firmware! Downgrading the firmware to a previous version may result in loss of functionality or malfunctioning of the device.
