Tab Dialog Box:
Columns (NCS-3500RS System)

Enabled

Select the check box(es) for the column(s) that is (are) installed in the system. Make sure that check boxes are only enabled if columns are present.

Name

Indicates the name under which the column is identified in the installation environment (default setting ColumnA...ColumnD); also see Naming Devices...). If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding control of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel  Linking a Control to a Device.)

Note:

When upgrading from CM 6.80 SR9 to a higher Chromeleon version, existing NCS-3500RS drivers may display the following default column name: Column1...Column4. This name, however, is inconsistent with the column names used on the Dionex default panel or panel tabset for the NCS-3500RS (ColumnA...ColumnD). As a result, an error message in the Chromeleon Client software may occur.

To avoid errors caused by inconsistent names, it is recommended to change the column name on the Columns tab page to ColumnA...ColumnD.
