Description

Device Name:

Indicates the name under which the instrument is identified in the installation environment (also, see Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you have to edit the PGM File(s) and re-link the corresponding controls of the control panel. (Also, refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel  Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.)

Demo Mode:

Select Off to disable Demo Mode.

Select Read to read and display data from an existing demo file. Select the demo file from the Demo File Name drop-down list.

Select Write to save the data currently delivered by the detector in a demo file. Data is recorded only for those channels that are selected in the Signals tab page. Enter (the directory and) file name in the Demo File Name box.

Query for Device ID:

Click this button to have Chromeleon check for all devices currently online.

Device ID:

Displays the DX-LAN device ID numbers for all devices of the same type as the device you are configuring. For example, if you are configuring an AD25 detector, the ID numbers of all AD25 detectors currently connected to the DX-LAN are displayed.

Select the ID number of the device you are configuring.

 Note:

Devices display their DX-LAN ID numbers when their power is turned on. For many devices, you can also view the DX-LAN ID number by selecting the POWER-UP screen from the DIAGNOSTIC MENU on the device’s front panel.

Device Serial No:

Displays the serial number of the device selected in the Device ID list. Chromeleon uses the serial number to track calibration and diagnostic information for the device.
