Switching a Relay
Every Relay can be integrated as a simple switch on the control panel interface. The two switch settings correspond to the relay states On and Off by linking controls on the Control Panel to State. Each relay can be executed with a time delay, using the Duration parameter.
Example: If a 3-way valve is integrated in the fluidics on the detector output, two switch states can be controlled via an internal device relay; for example, the Dionex M480 pump.
To install the relay in the Server Configuration
In the Server Configuration, double-click the instrument to open its Property dialog box, and click the Relays tab page.
Enable a currently unused device relay.
Save the new Server Configuration.
Note:
All settings you select on the Relays and Devices tab pages will be automatically copied to the State Devices page of the Program Wizard (see Control The Program Wizard).
To create a switch on the control panel
On the control panel, any switch can be linked to the new relay function. (For details, see Controlling Devices from the Control Panel Linking a Control to a Device.)
Under Object, select the name of the relay.
Under Object Property, click State.
If necessary, create an additional control, for example, an edit field, to set the on/off duration of the valve.
