ThermoQuest HS850/HS2000 Headspace Samplers: Status of Sample Preparation

Chromeleon allows you to monitor the sample preparation process:

In the Browser in a Sequence

The Status column indicates the status of the samples:

 Tip: 

Apart from the current sample, the Status of all samples sent to the sampler is Preparing. This is independent of whether the sample is already in the oven. Check the Audit Trail to see whether a sample has already been moved to the oven.

On the Thermo_HS850_2000.pan control panel

Open the Thermo_HS850_2000.pan control panel from the GC folder of the Dionex Templates. Click Oven / Tray… for a graphical representation of the sample status:

In the Audit Trail (sample preparation and real incubation time)

In addition, the Audit Trail (see Overview, Operation, and Data Management  Audit Trails) provides information about the progress of sample preparation.

The real incubation time may differ from the specified time (e.g., if the GC does not reach the Ready state in time for the next injection). Therefore, Chromeleon logs the real incubation time (RealIncubationTime) in the Audit Trail:

Lines relating to the Audit Trail of the current sample and at least one sample in preparation have a yellow background.

If the real incubation time is different from the specified time, a warning appears in the Audit Trail:

In the Report (real incubation time)

You can include the real incubation time in the report, using the Real Incubation Time (Sampler) report variable of the Audit Trail report category.
