Shimadzu LC-10A/LC-20A/LC-30A HPLC Pumps: Tips
This topic describes how the Shimadzu LC-10/LC-20 and LC-30 HPLC pumps are assigned to the pump names used in Chromeleon depending on the pump modes ISO, LP.GE, B.GE, and T.GE. Additionally, information is provided about how:
4-channel proportioning valves (FCV-10A) and
1-channel 2-way solvent selection valve (FCV-11ALS),
3-channel 2-way solvent selection valves (FCV-11AL) are connected and represented in Chromeleon
An example pump configuration is given for each different pump mode.
Note:
The Compressibility properties listed below are available only for the Shimadzu LC-30A Nexera System.
ISO
This example describes an isocratic system with three pumps.

LP.GE
This example describes a quaternary low-pressure gradient system with one pump, with a proportioning valve connected to PUMP.A and a solvent selection valve connected to PUMP.C.

This example describes a high-pressure gradient system with two pumps. A solvent selection valve is used with PUMP.C.

T.GE
This example describes a high-pressure gradient system with three pumps. A solvent selection valve FCV-11AL is used with all three pumps.
Note:
When using a binary or ternary HPG pump, make sure that the FCV-11AL is electronically connected to PUMP.A. Otherwise, the Audit Trail will report an error.
