Details about the Advanced Edit Mode available in the AS-DV Sample Preparation Options dialog box are provided below. For an overview of the dialog box, see Sample Preparation Options (AS-DV).

Advanced Edit Mode Overview

When you select Advanced mode, the Command/Parameters table becomes active. You can add, delete, and modify commands and select additional commands and parameters not available in Basic Edit Mode.

Notes:

The EndSamplePrep and Inject commands cannot be deleted.
The Inject command is always the last command in the list.

Advanced Edit Mode Options

Option	Description
Command	Lists the available commands: LoadPosition: Sets the injection valve to the load position. InjectPostion: Sets the injection valve to the inject position. DeliverRinse: Delivers rinse fluid through the sample out line. Enter the Volume of rinse to deliver and the Vial from which to take the rinse volume. DeliverSample: Delivers sample through the sample out line. Enter the Volume of sample to deliver and the Vial from which to take the sample. The following two commands are only available if the optional valve is installed and configured as an auxiliary valve. AuxValve.A: Sets the valve to the A position. AuxValve.B: Sets the valve to the B position.
Volume	For DeliverRinse: To rinse with the full vial volume, select Full. To rinse with a specific volume, select the desired volume. If Rinse is selected for the Vial parameter (see below), you can specify a rinse volume greater than the vial volume. Verify that the specified amount is available in the vials in the rinse vial range. For DeliverSample: To deliver the sample volume specified in the sequence, select From Sequence. You can use the Total Volume Delivered Estimator to calculate the volume of sample taken from the vial. To deliver a bleed, select Bleed. To deliver a full vial volume, select Full. To deliver a specific volume, select the desired volume. During the run, if the specified sample volume is larger than the volume in the vial, an error occurs.
Vial	For DeliverRinse: To take the rinse from a specific vial, select the desired vial position. To take the rinse from vials in the vial range specified in the Server Configuration program, select Rinse. To define a rinse vial range, see Options (AS-DV Autosampler Dialog Box. For DeliverSample: To take the sample from the vial position specified in the sequence, select From Sequence. To take the sample from a specific vial and override the vial specified in the sequence, select the vial position.
Insert	Inserts a new command before the command currently selected in the Command/Parameters table.
Append	Adds the command and parameters selected in the Command list to the Command/Parameters table before the Inject command.
Modify	Replaces the command currently selected in the Command/ Parameters table with the command and parameters selected in the edit fields above the table.
Delete	Removes the command currently selected in the Command/ Parameters table.
