Vanquish Pumps: Installation

Hardware Options
Supported:

  • HPG: Use of up to 6 solvents with up to 3 eluents per block; only one solvent per pump block can be pumped at a time, i.e. a maximum of two solvents.

  • LPG: Use of up to 4 solvents at the same time

Restrictions:

  • HPG: Use up to 6 solvents, but only two of them at the same time.

  • Timebase Class 1

  • Server License

Connection:

A free USB port is required.

 

Hardware Installation

Device Connection:

Connect the device to the USB port on the Chromeleon server PC. Thermo Scientific recommends the following approach:

  1. Connect all devices to the detector.

  2. Connect the system to the Chromeleon computer via one connection only.

For more information about how to connect the system modules, refer to the operating manuals of the instrument.

 Caution:

Thermo Scientific  recommends using the USB ports for connections to Thermos Scientific / Dionex instruments only. Thermo Scientific cannot guarantee correct functioning if instruments from other manufacturers are connected.

 

Software Installation

  1. In the Chromeleon Server Configuration, add the driver to a timebase. For details, see Adding, Configuring or Deleting Devices. After you add the driver, the configuration dialog opens automatically.

  2. On each configuration tab page, select the desired settings. For information about the settings on a page, click Help or press F1.
