Detectors (Perkin Elmer Autosystem (XL)/Clarus GCs)

Select the detector(s) of the Perkin Elmer Autosystem (XL) or Clarus GC:

 

Use

Select the check box of the detector that you want to use.

 

 

Device Name

Accept the name under which the detector is identified in the installation environment (Also, refer to Naming Devices...). To control the instrument via the existing Control Panels, accept the default name. If you do not accept the default name, you may have to edit the PGM Files and re-link the corresponding control of the control panel. (Also, refer toHow to: Controlling Devices from the Control Panel  Linking a Control to a Device in the User Help section.)

 

 

Type

Enter the detector type. The following detectors are supported:

  • FID (Flame Ionization Detector)

  • ECD Electron Capture Detector

  • TCD (Thermal Conductivity Detector)

  • NPD (Nitrogen Phosphorus Detector)

  • OUTPUT (all other detector types; digital data acquisition only)

 

 

PPC

If you selected the Programmable pneumatic (PPC) check box on the Components tab page, you may enable PPC control for the detector here.

 

 

Gas 1 / Gas 2

Enable gas control by selecting related check box. Enter the name of the gas in the Gas Name field, e.g., He, N2, H2, Ar/CH4, or Air.

 

 

Signal unit

Select a signal unit (default setting: mV)

 

 

Signal factor

 

If necessary, change the factor with which the output signal is to be multiplied (default setting: 1.0)

 

 

Output

 

Specify whether the output signal is transferred to an Integrator or Recorder.
