Rack (GINA 50)

Use the Rack dialog box to determine the rack type.

 

 Tip:

You must enter the type that was set on the instrument.

 

Click Set to actual device configuration to automatically reset the configuration to the settings communicated by the instrument. This is only possible if the device is connected (Connect command; see General tab page).

If the device is not yet connected, you may as well enter the settings manually.

 

Rack Type

Description

 

 

Standard:

Select this option if the standard rack (50 vials) is installed. In this case, Dionex recommends installing a standard syringe with a volume of 250 µl.

 

 

Eppendorf:

Select this option if the rack intended for Eppendorf vials (43 vials type 3810) is installed. In this case, Dionex recommends installing a standard syringe with a volume of 250 µl.

 

 

Semipreparative:

Select this option if the semipreparative rack (38 sample locations without standard vials) is installed. In this case, Dionex recommends installing a standard syringe with a volume of 4000µl.

 

 

Coolable:

Select this option for the coolable rack (50 vials). In this case, Dionex recommends installing a standard syringe with a volume of 250 µl.

 

The rack cooling option of the GINA 50T autosampler allows adjusting the temperature from +5°C to +25°C, thus, ensuring an exact nominal temperature within this temperature range.

Enter a lower and an upper temperature limit. All temperatures between these two values will then be allowed in Chromeleon. For example, if you specify a range between 10 to 15°C, you can select the rack temperature in Chromeleon only in this range. Values above or below this range are not accepted. The temperature limits also apply to entries in the Program.
