Description:
Writes a comment to the Audit Trail (without screen message). Thus, program steps can be additionally commented or chromatographic conditions can be written to the Audit Trail. (PGM comments are not written to the Audit Trail.)

Function:
Unlike simple green comments starting with a semicolon, which are only part of the program, the Protocol text is included in the Audit Trail and thus is directly linked to the corresponding sample. Use Protocol text to include commens about individual samples. The Protocol command does not affect the program run.
