Description:
Detector lamps are subject to aging. After installing a new lamp in a Dionex UVD, DAD, MWD, or VWD detector, select the LampIgnitions command to reset the number of ignitions to 0. Note that for detectors with two lamps, LampIntensity is the command for the UV lamp and VisLampIntensity the command for the visible lamp.
The LampIgnitions command allows you to check the number of ignitions. The value indicates the quality of the lamp.
Tip:
Most Dionex detectors provide a range of other commands for monitoring the quality of the lamp(s).
Function:
The Log LampIngitions command logs the number of ignitions performed by the optical detector lamp. The number of lamp ignitions is checked at the retention time at which the command was performed.
