Monitoring the Detector Signal on the Panel

On the detector panel as well as on many other panels (for example, the Home tab of the panel set), you can monitor the recorded detector signal "online". This topic describes how you can adapt the online signal plot to your needs.

For scaling of the axes, see  Control Panel: The Signal Plot.

To define which signals are displayed

  1. Right-click In the online signal plot.

  2. Click Signals. On the Signals tab page, all available signals are listed in the Available Signals box. The Displayed Signals box lists all signals that are currently displayed in the signal plot.

  3. Under Available Signals, select a signal and click Add to display this signal in the signal plot.

  4. (Optional) Under Options, you can define an offset for the new signal.

TIp:

Double-click a signal name to add or remove the signal.

To display other elements in the signal plot

  1. Right-click In the online signal plot.

  2. Click Axis/Decoration.

  3. On the Axis/Decoration tab page, under Decoration, select the elements you want to be displayed in the signal plot. For details about each option, refer to Axis/Decoration.

To overlay a chromatogram for comparison

  1. Right-click In the online signal plot.

  2. Click Chromatogram Overlay.

  3. Select the chromatogram you want to overlay for comparison. For details about each option, refer to Chromatogram Overlay.

  4. (Optional) Under Options, you can define an offset for the overlayed chromatogram.
