Commands and Tips for Thermo Scientific Devices
Finnigan/TSP P2000 and P4000 Pumps
In addition to the standard pump commands (see Commands for Controlling Dionex Devices Dionex Pumps) and certain General Device Commands, the pump driver supports the following commands and properties:
Property |
Description |
HeadType |
Indicates the installed pump head. |
FlowStability |
Indicates the stability of the flow rate: 0 - 25 is stable, 25- 90 is acceptable, > 90 is unstable. |
PumpStatus |
Indicates the pump status. |
Note:
The Hold command cannot be performed during program execution. If the command is issued, a warning is displayed.
Gradients
The P2000 pump allows you to program linear gradients with a maximum of nine steps. A maximum of 39 steps can be programmed for P4000 pumps. The driver does not support non-linear gradients.
If you want to run a gradient during a blank run sample, change the Inject command in the PGM file to
Inject Blank=Inject.
In this case, a real injection is performed. The sequence must contain an appropriate injection volume and position for the blank run sample, that is, a vial containing only solvent.
