Shimadzu GC-2010/2014 GC System: Inlet (Split/Splitless and On-Column/PTV)

The following commands and properties are available for the Split/Splitless SPL-2010, Split/Splitless SPL-2014, and On-Column OCI/PTV-2010 inlets:

ColumnFlow

 

Indicates the carrier gas flow properties [ml/min].

*.Nominal

0 to 1200 ml/min

Sets the nominal flow for the carrier gas at the output of the capillary column. The temperature ramp can be programmed with a maximum rate of up to 400 ml/min and up to seven steps (not counting the first one).

*.Value

 

Indicates the current carrier gas flow measured at the output of the capillary column.

Diameter

0.01 mm to 6.00 mm

Indicates the internal diameter of the column (read-only).

FanTemperature

0°C to 100°C

(On Column OCI/PTV-2010 only) Sets the cooling temperature of the air fan.

FilmThickness

0.0 µm to 300.0 µm

Indicates the film thickness of the column.

FlowCtrl

On, Off

Turns the column flow on or off.

FlowMode

Pressure; Velocity; Flow

Determines which parameter is controlled for the column.

GasSaver

On, Off

Turns the gas saver on or off.

GasSaverSplitRatio

0.0 to 9999.9

Sets the split ratio to reduce the the split flow and thus carrier gas consumption.

GasSaverTime

0 to 9999.9 min

Sets the retention time when the gas saver shall become active. The time setting must be after the injection and purge times.

GasType

He, N2, H2, Ar

Indicates the type of carrier gas.

Length

0.1 m to 250.0 m

Indicates the column length.

Mode

Split, Splitless, Direct

Indicates the split mode.

PulseEnable

Off, On / Auto

Turns the pressure pulse on or off.

PulsePressure

0 to 970 kPa

Sets the input pressure for high-pressure injection.

PulseTime

0 to 9999,9 min

Sets the duration of the pressure pulse.

PurgeCtrl

On, Off

Turns the purge option on or off.

PurgeFlow

 

Provides information on the purge flow [ml/min].

*.Nominal

0.0 to 1200.0 ml/min

Sets the nominal purge flow. The flow ramp can be programmed with a maximum rate of up to 400 ml/min and up to seven steps (not counting the first one).

*.Value

 

Indicates the current purge flow.

PurgeTime

0.00 to 9999.99 min

In splitless mode, this parameter sets the period of time during which the flow is not split. After this period, the flow corresponds to the flow set in the split mode.

Pressure

 

Indicates the properties of the inlet's column pressure [kPa].

*.Nominal

0.0 to 979.0 kPa

Sets the nominal pressure of the column (read-only).

*.Value

 

Indicates the current pressure in the column head.

SplitRatio

 

Specifies the split ratio. Programmable with up to seven steps.

-1.0 to 9999.9

Sets the nominal value for the split ratio.

Indicates the current split ratio (read-only).

Temperature

 

Sets the temperature properties [°C].

Sets the target operating temperature for the inlet. When the PTV type is used, use this parameter to program a temperature ramp with a rate of up to 250°C/min and up to seven steps (not counting the first one).

Sets the maximum inlet operating temperature.

TotalFlow

 

Provides information on the total flow [ml/min].

*.Nominal

0.0 to 1200 ml/min

Determines the total flow calculated from the sum of the column flow rate, split flow rate and the flow in the column's purge head septum.

Indicates the current total flow.

Indicates the selected inlet type (read-only).

Velocity

 

Indicates the linear speed in the column [cm/s].

*.Nominal

From 0 to a value where the calculated column input pressure is 970 kPa.

Sets the average linear speed of the carrier gas in the column.

Indicates the current linear speed in the column (read-only).
