Agilent GC 6890 |
|
|
Missing vial error. The sequence is not stopped by the sampler and Chromeleon waits indefinitely for the GC's inject response. |
Error message on the device display: Warning: sequence abort Warning code 3/40000 The problem is caused by a bug in the GC's firmware and can be observed with different injector models installed on the 6890 GC. Affected firmware version: N.06.07. If additional missing vial errors appear, no further warning information is displayed. |
The problem can only be resolved by stopping the batch using the option Stop Batch -> Immediately. Tip: The problem also occurs with a 7683 ALS injector when used with firmware version N.06.07. With the 7683 ALS injector, however, you can resolve the problem by downgrading to an earlier firmware version. When using a 7693 ALS, a downgrade is not possible as the minimum firmware version required is N.06.07. |

The GC disconnects when the time setting on the IPC is changed during data acquisition. |
If the time setting on the Chromeleon Server computer is set forward while data is being acquired, the GC will be disconnected and data acquisition will stop. This error is most likely to occur, for example, when the clocks are set ahead an hour at the beginning of Daylight Saving Time. |
Make sure that no data acquisition is performed while the time setting on the Chromeleon computer is set forward, for example, at the beginning of the Daylight Saving Time. Setting the clock back an hour does not cause any problems. |
