UltiMate 3000 Series OAS-3x00TXRS Autosampler: Troubleshooting

The following errors may occur during operation of an OAS-3x00TXRS autosampler:

The Audit trail error message displayed:

{Sampler} The device could not be connected (No device found on specified address. Make sure the address is correct and device is switched on.)

Following this, the autosampler is disconnected.

A communication error occurred, for example, due to interrupted LAN cable.

Perform the following steps to identify the error source:

  1. First, verify that the sampler is turned on and that the LAN cable is connected properly.

  2. Check whether the LEDs located on the left and right to the LAN connector are on and blinking.

  3. Open a DOS box on your server PC and enter the command ping <sampler IP address> to ensure that the sampler does respond.

If the sampler still does not respond, power-cycle the sampler, then retry a reconnect.

If the sampler could be reconnected without a power cycle, use the 'Reset' command after reconnect to put the sampler in a defined status.
