Sample Processing
Sample processing includes three major steps:
Sample definition (single samples and Sequence and/or Batch)
Analytical procedure (manual or automatic control (PGM File))
Evaluation (QNT Methods and reports)
The performance of each step depends on the methods that are used and on the available instruments. The working environment could range from a fully automatic sample laboratory with large quantities of samples to single-user applications in a research lab. Easy and quick analysis procedures may be the focus in the first case, while special methods and parameters for peak detection may have priority in the second case. Thus, it is not surprising that functions crucial to one group of users may be irrelevant to others.
