A free 9-pin RS-232 port must be available on the Chromeleon Server PC (or on a Multi-COM card). To connect the column oven to the PC, the following cable is required:
Tip: The column oven cannot be controlled via a UCI interface. |

Tested for firmware 2.4. (used instrument type: Perkin Elmer Series 200 Peltier Column Oven). |

Hardware Installation
Device Connection: |
Use the RS-232 connector (25-pin male) on the rear panel of the column oven to connect the instrument to the PC. |
Software Installation
For details about how to add timebases and device drivers to the Server Configuration, refer to Adding, Configuring or Deleting Devices. When you add a driver to the timebase, the configuration dialog or wizard opens automatically. For information about the settings, click the Help button on a page or press F1.
