Chromeleon supports the following Agilent GPIB interfaces:
Agilent GPIB Interface |
Dionex Part No. |
82357B USB-GPIB adapter |

82350B PCI-GPIB card |
5919.0022 |
The 82335 GPIB card is not compatible with Chromeleon.
The VISA library is shipped with the card or adapter. If the VISA library does not support your operating system, download the latest version from the internet.
For details on installing and configuring the GPIB card and VISA library, refer to the Agilent IO Libraries Suite Installation and Configuration Instructions.
To configure the Agilent GPIB Card
Turn on your GPIB instrument.
Install the Agilent IO Library.
After successful installation, start the Agilent Connection Expert by clicking Start > All Programs > Agilent IO Libraries Suite.
The Agilent Connection Expert automatically detects the online instruments and assigns names and other default configuration settings. Click an instrument to view or modify its properties. Make a note of the GPIB number (usually GPIB0) and the device IDs, you will need to select the correct numbers on the configuration pages in the Chromeleon Server Configuration program.
Tip:
If you want to connect more than one module to one GPIB interface, verify that all modules use different GPIB addresses and that all addresses are listed here.
Also, refer to Installing and Configuring the NI GPIB Card and VISA Library.
