P580 HPLC Pump: Overview

The P580 HPLC pump is no longer available for purchase and has been replaced by the USB-enabled P680 HPLC pump. However, as P580 Pumps may still be used in the field, see below for the corresponding installation instructions.

  • Analytical (Flow rate 1 µl/min to 10.00 ml/min)

  • Semipreparative (Flow rate up to 50.00 ml/min)

Connection:

A free RS-232 port is required plus the following  Null Modem Cable (depending on the connection):

  • 9-pin connection: part no. 8914.0130

  • 25-pin connection: part no. 8914.0103A

For the connection to the mains supply, you need in addition:

  •  Power cord (the cable is shipped with the instrument)

Control Panel:

P580FULL.pan (pump only) or,
for example, HPLC.pan when the pump is part of an HPLC system

  • P580A isocratic pump

  • P580A LPG quaternary low pressure gradient system

  • P580 HPG binary high-pressure gradient system

Flow range:

1 - 10000 µl/min in 1 µl increments

Pressure range:

1 - 500 bar

Flow accuracy:

0.1% or 0.5 µl

Gradient accuracy:

1% absolute from set value between 250 and 2000µl (P580A LPG)

0.2% absolute from set value or 0.5 µl per branch (P580A HPG)

Pressure pulsation:

0.5 bar or 0.5%
