Supported:

  • MSV 2P-6P: external 2 port/6 position motorized switching valve

  • MSV 2P-10P: external 2 port/10 position motorized switching valve

 

What is required?

License:

Timebase Class 1

 

Connection:

Use the modem cable (Sub-D 9 female to Sub-D 9 female) shipped with the valve.

 Note:  

You cannot use the standard Dionex modem cable in this case.

Hardware
Prerequisites:

A free COM port is required for each single valve.

Hardware Installation

Device Connection:

Use the modem cable (Sub-D 9 female to Sub-D 9 female) shipped with the device to connect the valve.

 Note:  

You cannot use the standard Dionex modem cable in this case.

Device Settings:

The following settings are supported:

 Baud rate 9600

 Data bits 8

 Stop bits 1

 Parity None

 Handshake Off

 

The DIP switches are set as follows:

 SW3-1  ON

 SW3-2  ON

 SW3-3 ON: RS-232 control via J2

 SW3-4 ON: 9600 Baud

 SW3-5  ON

 SW3-6  ON

 SW3-7 ON

 SW3-8 OFF

Software Installation

For details about how to add timebases and device drivers to the Server Configuration, refer to Adding, Configuring or Deleting Devices. When you add a driver to the timebase, the configuration dialog or wizard opens automatically. For information about the settings, click the Help button on a page or press F1.

Troubleshooting

If communication problems occur, verify that the DIP switches are set correctly (see Device Settings above).
