Installing Dionex Devices
UltiMate Capillary/Nano HPLC System: Manual Injection Valve

Follow the installation steps described in  UltiMate Capillary/Nano HPLC System: Installation. If you want to install a manual injection valve, modify the installation as follows:

  1. Start the Chromeleon server.

  2. Start the Chromeleon Server Configuration program.

  3. If the LC Packings FAMOS device driver is also installed on this timebase, remove it by selecting the Delete command on the context menu.

  4. Double-click the LC Packing UltiMate/Switchos and modify the settings as follows:

On the Inputs tab page, select the Detector_StartIn check box.

  5. A valve cable (= Dionex/LC Packings Valve Position Sensor cable) is fitted to the top right of the Solvent Organizer part on the UltiMate's rear panel. Connect the other end of this cable to the START IN port on the UV Detector.

Behavior during injection

The system delays data acquisition until manual injection has been performed. If the valve switches, a contact is established and thus, a signal is generated. Only then, data acquisition is started. At the sample end, the system waits until the valve is switched back, if not yet done during the analysis.
