Hardware Installation
Device Connection: |
Follow the instructions in the ICS-3000 Installation Instructions (Document No. 065032; provided with the system) to connect all ICS-3000 components. Follow the instructions in the AutoPrep Installation Instructions (Document No. 065181; provided with AutoPrep) to connect AutoPrep components. |
Additional Requirements: |
Calibrate the small loop (refer to the AutoPrep Installation Instructions). |
Server Configuration
Follow the basic steps below to install the Device Driver in the Chromeleon Server Configuration. (For details, refer to Configuring the Chromeleon Server.)
Start the Chromeleon server.
Start the Chromeleon Server Configuration program.
Select the timebase in which AutoPrep will be installed.
Select Add Device on the Edit or context menu, and then select AutoPrep from the Devices list box (under Manufacturers: Dionex).
Click OK.
Verify or set the following configuration properties for the other devices in the system:
DC High Pressure Valves tab: InjectValve_1 and AM_HP1 controlled by the DC.
DC Suppressors tab: Suppressor1 linked to Pump_1.
EG Cartridges tab: EGC_1 linked to Pump_1.
AS-HV Options tab:
Sample Loading Pump: Internal Peristaltic
Rinse Source: External
Sample Loading Type: Sample Loop
Sample Loading Mode: Pull
Delay Volume: Use the default value.
Datasource Setup
Mount the example AutoPrep datasource from the Chromeleon DVD and import the AutoPrep user-defined columns into the local datasource (refer to the AutoPrep Installation Instructions for details).
Copy the AutoPrep template files to the local datasource.
Control
Open a panel tabset and select the AutoPrep tab (refer to How to: Controlling Devices from the Panel Tabset in the User Help section). For details about setting up and running an AutoPrep application, refer to the AutoPrep User's Guide (Document No. 065180; provided with AutoPrep).
