Tab Dialog Box:
Options (Thermo HS850/HS2000 Headspace Samplers)

Specify which components are to be operated. If a component is not selected here, it cannot be controlled by Chromeleon.

Device type

Select the headspace sampler from the drop-down list box:

  • HS2000

  • HS850

Electronic pressure module installed

Select this check box if the headspace sampler is equipped with an electronic pressure module. Also, select the pressure unit:

  • kPa

  • psig

  • bar

 Tip:

Dionex recommends selecting the same unit as on the display.

Inject response signal

The default setting is Use internal inject response signal from sampler. This means that Chromeleon receives the information about the injection and start of the GC run from the headspace sampler.

However, to enhance synchronization considerably, Dionex recommends specifying an external source, e.g., the injection port on the GC. Therefore, whenever possible, select Use inject response signal from external port and select the source from the drop-down list box. To do so, the GC must have been installed already. In addition, the external source must be installed in the same timebase as the headspace sampler.
