Tab Dialog Box:
Components (Fisons 8000 GC)

Select the required components of the gas chromatograph by the check box. Only selected components can be controlled (Also, refer to Hardware Installation  Fisons 8000 Gas Chromatograph).

Installed Components:

Select Electrometer EL800 if your GC has a separate one-channel amplifier (FID and NPD 80).

Select Digital Flow and Pressure Controller (DFPC) if your GC is supplied with an additional digital control unit for controlling the pressure and the flow rate of the carrier gas. The instrument operates at constant pressure and constant flow rate, and represents the actual, or the nominal pressure, or the flow rate value of two channels.

In the constant pressure mode, the quantity of the transported gas decreases as the oven temperature increases.

In the constant flow rate mode, the flow rate is kept at a constant level, independently of the oven temperature. As the temperature decreases, the pressure increases.

Controlling the flow rate or the pressure via the control panel is only possible when a DFP controller is installed.

Left/Right Injector:

Under Installed, select whether the instrument has a left and/or right injector. Under Name, enter a separate name for each injector unit (Default = LeftInjector or RightInjector) and determine the maximum flow rate (Max Flow) supported by the injector. (Note: The three flow rate ranges with differing numbers of decimal places result from the flow rate with a maximum of three digits coded via DIP switch on the GC).
