Tab Dialog Box:
Inlet (TRACE 1110 GC)

Use the Inlet tab pages to configure up to four inlets installed on the TRACE 1110 GC.

Option

Description

 

 

Type

(Available only if Demo Mode on the General tab page is set to Read.) Select the inlet type: Packed or Capillary.

Note:

The inlet type affects the availability and settings of several parameters on the inlet tab page.

 

 

Name

Enter a name for the inlet or leave the default name.

 

 

Minimum Temperature

Specify the minimum inlet temperature in the available range.

   

Maximum Temperature

Specify the maximum inlet temperature in the available range.

 

 

EPC Installed

(Available only if Demo Mode on the General tab page is set to Read.) Select the check box to enable electronic pressure control (EPC) for the inlet (if installed) and its associated parameters (described below).

 

 

Carrier Gas

Select the carrier gas from the drop-down list.

Note:

This setting is sent to the GC when you click OK. However, when the GC is switched off and then on again, the setting will be lost and an Audit Trail error message will be logged when Chromeleon attempts to connect to the GC ("Inlet gas types do not match."). To prevent this, after clicking OK, save the current GC method using the GC's front panel (refer to the documentation supplied with your GC for details).

 

 

EPC Number

(Available only if Demo Mode on the General tab page is set to Read.) Select the EPC number from the drop-down list.

 

 

Split EPC Number

(Available only for a Capillary inlet and if Demo Mode on the General tab page is set to Read.) Select the Split EPC number from the drop-down list.

 

 

Maximum Flow

Specify the maximum flow.

 

 

Maximum Pressure

(Available only for a Capillary inlet.) Specify the maximum pressure in the available range.

 

 

Maximum Split Flow

(Available only for a Capillary inlet.) Specify the maximum split rate flow.
