Use this dialog box to add new solvents and viscosity values to the viscosity list, or edit or delete existing entries.

Option

Description

Flowmeter Type

Displays the installed flowmeter type (Classic or ProFlow).

If Enable Virtual Mode on the General tab page is set to On, you may set the desired flowmeter type here.

Otherwise, it is set automatically if a USB address is selected on the General tab page or the Update.... button is pressed.

Update...

(Available only if Enable Virtual Mode on the General tab page is set to Off.) Click to automatically update the current flowmeter type. When using a ProFlow flowmeter, the solvent list will be updated as well.

(NC pumps with ProFlow flowmeter only) Click this button to update the solvent list after you have performed a solvent calibration (for details, refer to Calibrating Solvents (NCP-3200RS/NCS-3500RS) – ProFlow.

 Notes:

The NC system should already be running for at least 1 minute before starting an update.

 Tip:

The solvent list will also be updated automatically when selecting a module address on the General tab page through the Browse button.

Left / Right Solvent List

(NC pumps with ProFlow flowmeter type only) Displays the calibrated solvents that are currently available for the left / right pump in the flowmeter. For information about calibrating solvents, refer to Calibrating Solvents (NCP-3200RS/NCS-3500RS) – ProFlow.

Name

(NC pumps with Classic flowmeter type only) Specifies the name of the solvent. Click the asterik (*) in the bottom line of the table and enter the name of the solvent and the viscosity.

  • The solvent name can contain any of the following characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9, underscore ('_'), and percent (%).

  • The name must not start with a digit.

  • The name must be unique.

  • Avoid entries with different names but identical viscosity values. Combine these entries, instead; for example, "Solvent1_and_Solvent2".

Viscosity (in %, with respect to viscosity of water)

(NC pumps with Classic flowmeter type only) Specifies the viscosity value to be used for a solvent. For information on how to establish the viscosity for a solvent, refer to Viscosity Measurement (NCP-3200RS/NCS-3500RS) - Classic Flowmeter.
